Film Maker and director Cliffy Barz was born and raised in Harlem, New York City. He attended St. Agnes Boys High school before transferring to Martin Luther King Jr High school.
At an early age, basketball and music were his main hobbies.
He enrolled in Borough Of Manhattan Community College in high hopes of getting into the radio broadcasting career field. Coincidentally, Borough Of Manhattan Community College no longer offered radio broadcasting in the college at the time. There were many other career options to choose from but Cliff chose to go with the next closest career field to radio broadcasting which was TV Production.
After a short period of time, Cliff started to grow a huge passion for film and eager to understand how films were put together. He enrolled in numerous film classes and started to impress staff members and professors throughout the college. He would stay in the video editing labs until it closed teaching himself how to edit.
After some time went by he decided to start a public access tv show. Being that Clifford was born and raised in Harlem, he called the show "Harlem Streets". Within a few months, Cliffy Barz entertained families all through Harlem and Manhattan with his new show on public access television. The show became very popular and caught the attention of local and major rap artists such as ReverendRun, Mack 10, and Doug E Fresh to name a few.
Soon Cliffy Barz started showing his films on Youtube and received worldwide recognition. Source Magazine, New York Times, History Channel, and B.E.T are a few major companies that took notice of Cliffy Barz work. The films Cliffy Barz produced showed what life was like living in poor and dangerous neighborhoods. This really impressed lots of people because it was very hard to see footage and hear up close and personal from the individuals of what life was like living in the hood.
After Cliffy Barz documented the streets of Harlem, he then went on to film all of New York City. Soon after Cliffy Barz started traveling to many other states and cities like Los Angeles, California, Daytona Beach Florida, San Antonio Texas, and many other areas to share what life was like living outside of New York City.
Cliffy Barz soon after took it even further and started traveling internationally, filming places like Mexico, Spain, Aruba, Costa Rica, Barbados, and his most recent exploration of Ghana In Africa. Cliffy Barz continues to shock the world with breathtaking documentaries and films.
In This Film, I Take You Through An Exciting Journey Leaving My Hometown Of Harlem, New York City, To Visit My Roots In Ghana For The First Time. This Documentary Gives Viewers A Glimpse Into The History Of Africa Which Includes Everything From Slave Castles To The Beautiful Nature And Culture Of Ghana!
